About

Join us on January 28, 2026, as we welcome National Bank’s CEO Laurent Ferreira and Stéfane Marion—Canada’s only bank chief economist based in Calgary— to share their perspectives on the key economic trends to watch in 2026, including forecasts on growth, interest rates, inflation, and emerging risks — all with a clear perspective on both global and local challenges.

What does 2026 have in store? Between geopolitical tensions, trade wars, technological breakthroughs, and energy challenges, the business environment is shifting rapidly. Companies, investors, and decision-makers must navigate a volatile global landscape and anticipate the impact of these disruptions on the Canadian and Alberta economies.
